Hello!
My name is Kasia Minasowicz, and I am a freelance illustrator based in Warsaw, Poland. I specialize in hand-drawn, minimalist illustrations. Although I graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology (MSc, 2006) and the Faculty of Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (MA, 2008), I feel most at home with a flat sheet of paper.
I am a proud recipient of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage art scholarship (2021 and 2025) and the Scholarship of the Mayor of the City of Wrocław (2023). My latest picture book, “U z dwiema kropkami” (Two Dots Over U), received a Graphic Distinction in the Book of the Year 2025 contest organized by the Polish Section of IBBY. My new illustrated version of the iconic book by Maria Konopnicka was nominated for the Polish Section of IBBY Graphic Award 2022 and was included on the Treasure List of the Museum of Children’s Books. My work was also presented at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair in 2023 and 2025.
I am also a proud resident at RisoPrintClub at Oficyna Peryferie, Pracownia Wschodnia, where I focus on independent publishing and risograph printing.
